The Church of England Interim Support Scheme – The case of MACSAS and AB and the impact it had on the Terms of Reference and survivors of church abuse.
You can read the disturbing case here
It is one of the worst failures to come to light and paints an ugly picture of scheme thats meant to support survivors not retraumatise them.
Where was Archdeacon Julia Conalty and Sue Monckton Rickett, close friends of MACSAS Jo Kind and Phil Johnson? The panel for the first eleven cases with Tim Bonnett who has since retired?
Do you see any of them speaking up about the damage caused whilst they continue to reap the rewards whilst Teresa and others suffer?
Who are the people behind the schemes support email address and act with impunity?
This happened on Zena Marshall, the interim national safeguarding directors watch.
Many questions must be raised
The scheme deliberately withheld support and then added a clause in an offer letter knowing it couldn’t be achieved. It left the most vulnerable without support.

Full story on the Church of England Interim Support scheme harming a survivor… coming soon
Small update
It has been brought to our attention at no2abuse
Today, a Senior person within the Church of England’s interim support scheme has requested a survivor delete all certain documents sent by the scheme.
Is it potentially information that may or may not contain incriminating evidence against the scheme and church?
One would expect the church and their lawyers to exercise protocol and preserve all documents in case of future litigation or a potential criminal case.
Doing the right thing appears to be a serious problem for the interim support scheme. It does not show Christianity at it’s finest nor are ‘urgent needs’ met as suggested by the Terms of Reference.
Further updates on the Church of England scheme will continue whilst the main story continues to unfold.
Threats of legal action against the survivor come into play with Zena Marshall, again taking a strong lead.
This is not a woman capable of diffusing the volatile situation but inflames it. She appears more concerned about petty non threatening comments than any very serious harm they have done to the survivor.
Life threatening events.
Marshalls, only care are legal threats and no concern for the survivors health or safety. A woman of senior position who appears happier to flout her authority as apposed to being of any support for the most vulnerable.
